Story Time. 

When I was in 6th grade, I was in a program for "gifted" students called SAIL. 

One of our assignments was to write a jingle. I wrote one for Oreo to the tune of "Pump It" by the Black Eyed Peas. It was a masterpiece (seriously) called "Dunk It" and even had a choreographed dance. 

Shortly after, my younger sister and I wrote a song for Panera Bread that I still know 100% of the lyrics to and will perform by request. 

I had been writing short stories since the 1st grade with little illustrations in the corners and making up songs for brands for fun in the car with my sisters. I always knew I had a passion and a talent for writing and when I had the realization that advertising was a "thing" and I could make my career out of it, everything fell into place.

Little did I know at the time, but it was that fateful day in 6th grade SAIL that my advertising path began.

And look at me now.
